As we step into the new year, we wanted to take a moment to pause, reflect, and share what 2025 looked like for us at iRi — and where we’re headed next. This past year came with meaningful milestones, exciting launches, and a few unexpected hurdles, but above all, it reaffirmed why we do what we do.
We accomplished one of our 2025 goals! Today, 97% of our footwear collection is made with sustainable and responsible materials. One of the biggest challenges was continuing to use eco-friendly materials while keeping our product pricing accessible. Thanks to the support of our community and partners, we reached this important milestone. We’re now working toward becoming the most sustainable and stylish independent footwear brand based in NYC and beyond.
In 2025 we launched Concrete Sprout, our most sustainable collection yet, with 100% of uppers made from bio-based and/or recycled materials! This collection also marks the return of our iconic heels, with a new revamped fit and materiality. While iRi has always been rooted in nature, we’re also a brand born in NYC — and this collection is about finding joy and softness in even the most unexpected places. It brings together the most comfortable, thoughtfully made shoes for those who seek individuality, joy, and sustainability in every step.
We collaborated with NewYearMarket to
create these handcrafted, limited-edition sustainable charms, upcycled from our own shoelaces and leftover fabrics by local senior creators. Designed to clip easily onto shoes, bags, or keys, it adds a tactile pop of color and personality to any look! Due to the delayed launch of both collections, the pop-ups originally planned for NYC and LA have also been postponed to 2026. Don't be sad! We are working hard to finally do more IRL (in real life) events for 2026.
You asked and we listened! This year, we’re finally launching iRi’s first-ever Men’s collection and expanding our sizes across the board. It’s the same comfort and style you already love, just now in a much wider range of sizes so more of you can find the perfect fit.
